Your job search,
decoded.
Browse real openings pulled straight from company career pages — then paste any listing and get the real story: what they actually want, the red flags they're hiding, and how you stack up. Tailor your resume, write the cover letter, and practice the interview. All in one app.
Everything from the listing to the offer
Most job-search tools do one thing. Dossier runs the whole play — read the room, sharpen your pitch, and walk in ready.
Real jobs, fresh
Browse openings pulled straight from company career pages and refreshed continuously — then rank them against your resume. No reposted, stale, or phantom listings.
Decode the JD
Corporate-speak, translated. Every requirement tagged must-have, preference, or nice-to-have — plus red flags and salary context.
Application tracker
Every analyzed job becomes a strategic dossier. Smart-sorted from Saved to Offer, with nudges when things go stale.
Resume review & tailoring
Import once. Get a general review, then JD-specific rewrites — ATS keywords, stronger bullets, and what to cut.
Cover letters
Role- and company-specific letters that map to the actual requirements — professional, never robotic. Regenerate on demand.
Interview prep with voice
Questions tailored to the JD, read aloud. You answer out loud; Dossier transcribes and coaches — STAR, specificity, filler words.
Private by design
No accounts. Your resume and interview answers stay on your phone. JD text is analyzed, never stored.
Openings pulled straight from the source
The first thing you see is a live board of roles pulled directly from companies' own career pages — not scraped from aggregators. It refreshes continuously, so when a job comes down, it comes off the board.
- Sourced straight from employer career pages — no reposted phantom listings
- Continuously refreshed; closed roles drop off automatically
- Every listing shows how long it's been open
- Best Matches ranks openings against your imported resume
See what they're really asking for
Job descriptions are written to sound good, not to be clear. Dossier translates them into plain language and shows you the subtext.
- Requirements ranked must-have, preference, or nice-to-have
- Red flags: missing info, unrealistic combos, vague scope
- Salary context vs. market — with negotiation angles
- A match score against your imported resume
One strategic hub for every application
Cards sort themselves by priority — interviews float to the top, ghosted apps fade to the bottom. Each card holds the tailored resume, cover letter, prep, JD, notes, and a status timeline.
- Saved → Applied → Interview → Offer, at a glance
- Stale-application nudges so nothing slips
- Everything for a job lives in one place
Rewrite your resume for the job in front of you
Import your resume once (PDF, DOCX, or text). Get a general review that flags weak bullets and missing metrics — then per-job tailoring that speaks the listing's language.
- ATS-optimized keywords pulled from the JD
- Bullets rewritten to emphasize relevant wins
- Clear guidance on what to add and what to cut
Practice the interview out loud
Dossier generates behavioral, technical, and situational questions for the specific role, reads them aloud, and transcribes your spoken answer — all on-device. Then it coaches you.
- Guided mode: feedback after every answer
- Simulated mode: real pressure, feedback at the end
- STAR adherence, specificity, and filler-word tracking
- Speech recognition runs entirely on your phone

Frequently asked
Where do the jobs in the app come from?
Dossier's Jobs tab pulls openings directly from companies' own career pages (their applicant-tracking systems) and refreshes them continuously — so listings are real and current, and roles drop off when they close. Coverage focuses on US and Canadian openings from companies on supported platforms, so it's a curated board rather than an exhaustive one. You can always paste any listing you find elsewhere to analyze it.
Does my resume get uploaded anywhere?
No. Your resume is imported and stored locally on your device using on-device storage. It is never transmitted to our servers or anyone else. Only the job-description text you paste is sent for AI analysis — and that text isn't stored after the response comes back.
Do I need to create an account?
Never. Dossier works the moment you open it — no sign-up, no email, no password. Subscription status is handled anonymously through your App Store or Google Play account.
How does the interview voice practice work?
Questions are generated for the specific role, then read aloud. You answer out loud and Dossier transcribes your response using on-device speech recognition — no audio ever leaves your phone. Guided mode gives feedback after each answer; Simulated mode saves it all for the end.
What does the free tier actually include?
Three JD analyses per week, tracking for up to three applications, a general resume review, one resume-tailoring demo, and a cover-letter preview. It's a genuine taste of every core feature — not a locked shell.
What platforms is Dossier on?
iOS and Android. Dossier is built for the phone in your pocket during a job search — there's no desktop version.
Are there ads?
No ads on any tier — free or Premium. Dossier is funded entirely by its optional subscription.
